A Story Begins .....

The exact details surrounding the origin of Tempus Irae are vague at best, with only a few mentions here and there on ancient, time-worn scrolls and tablets.
What has been gathered is as follows;
Tempus Irae (Time of Wrath), was originally formed among one of the Human tribes before the Cataclysm. Inspired by whispers and tales of the ascended demi-Gods known as Daeva, they formed in resistance to the Dragon Lords and Balaur. They trained themselves in the art of Dragon Slaying, using any and all methods at their disposal. Issues of morality were cast aside as they focused on the singular goal of wiping out the Balaur.
By the time that the peace talks that would soon be known as the Cataclysm were called, Tempus Irae had grown into an army. Knowing their intense hatred and their lust to spill the blood of the Balaur, the Empyrean Lords ordered their legion far to the west; to the city known then as Kurngalfberg. And so, with the rest of the city, the legion known as Tempus Irae perished under the wrath of the Dragon Lord Ereshkigal.
All official records of Tempus Irae ended there, and there was no public mention of them for another several hundred years. The survivors of that great battle with the Dragon Lord went underground; their numbers dwindling over the years. But, as destiny would have it, the training in the art of Dragon Slaying was passed down through the ages. Finally, in a strange twist of fate, General Vynessa, then leader of the Disciples of Yustiel, and her mysterious consort known only as Ex, somehow came upon the Legion's founding Charter, which detailed the most important secrets of the nearly Lost Art. Taking up the mantle, these two figures would found the modern Legion of Tempus Irae.
Branching out across the known world, from the jungles of Heiron to the cold snowy tundra of Asmodae, they engaged the Balaur with an animal-like ferocity, destroying them without mercy wherever they found them.
Since that fateful decision was made, Tempus Irae has continued to exist in Elysea, battling the Balaur with all the might at their command.
